I am back and I have big news...

I am Pregnant! 15 weeks and I’m feeling pretty good, the only issue is that I’ve been Very nauseous. But it’s funny, because of the miscarriage last time, the nausea is actually kind of comforting. One day I felt great and it totally freaked me out!! I was out of town for the weekend with the Young Woman in our ward. The first day there, (I was 9 weeks at the time) I wasn’t nauseous at all and I nearly had 10 panic attacks that day. I was convinced that something terrible was happening but no worries, I was back to feeling nauseous the next day. :)

We couldn’t be more excited to be pregnant! I feel like it took forever, but I know in the grand scheme of things that the 2 years isn’t that bad... although to me it felt like a lifetime! Sophie on the other hand, probably could be more excited, she is about to have her cushy little life turned upside down.

the 15 week bump!

Cake Decorating Class

A few weeks ago I finished a cake decorating class at UVU. I stumbled upon the class while looking for sewing classes and thought it might be fun too. I talked my sil Summer and my friend Nancy into taking the class with me (It didn't take much talking into). These were my two final cakes. Yes, one is of my dog... I couldn't help it.

I was so happy with how the "Sophie" cake turned out. I loved having it in my fridge for a few days, every time I opened it it made me laugh a little.

The second cake also turned out looking pretty good. I have always liked the way these lace cakes look, so I thought I would give it a shot.

Park City/Midway

My sweet husband had the idea to spend a few days in Park City/Midway for my Birthday (in Feb). So we booked our timeshare in Midway and drove up. We drove straight up to the outlet mall where Elliot's sister Esther and husband Brian met us. After some shopping Elliot's other sister Summer and husband Steve meet us for dinner.
The next day we slept in went shopping and then we went to "Our" restaurant is in Park City, The River Horse Cafe. If you havn't been there you should go, it is amazing!
The night we got engaged we sat at this same table.

My favorite meal there, I salivate just thinking about it!

Elliot's Surf and Turf

The timeshare was right next to the Zermat where they have ice sculptures. They were pretty cool.

It was such a fun relaxing trip full of shopping, eating, and relaxing at the hot tub.

Valentines... Better late than never

We decided a few years ago that going out for a Valentines dinner date was Crazy, because Everyone is out for there romantic dinner also. So making something at home is perfect, but of course you have to spice it up a bit. So this year we did a fondue night with alcohol free wines. We had Elliot's siblings over and it was a blast.

I pulled out every last red item I had in the house and put it up.

The wines and champagne. I saw these featured on the food network one night.

Cheese, Yes please

Meats

Chocolate, could anything be better... I think not!

I put three phrases under everyone's plates that during the course of the dinner we had to say. We got some good laughs out of the game.

Pretend I am still cool!

I have a totally adorable friend who I never would have guessed couponed, but she does and she showed me all the great deals she was getting a few months ago. So i decided I would give it a try just for fun. I have gotten some killer deals and many free things. Here is some stuff I bought, it should have been around $128 but I got it for $32! It's a bit embarrassing , but I am such a deal junkie that its worth it.

So if you ever at one point thought I was cool, I hope that hasn't changed! :)

Merry Christmas

I know I am SO behind on the Holidays...but better late than never!
This Christmas we headed out to Wichita, at first. After a few fun filled days there we made the drive down to Oklahoma City to go to my brother house.

Once we got to OK there was a freak snow storm!

This next paragraph is hijacked from my sisters blog, Thanks Heather!

"We have decided that the Glade's have magical powers! Christmas of 2007 it snowed 11 inches the day we all arrived in Wichita. On Christmas Eve day this year, Oklahoma City had 14 in of snow, which is the most snowfall in one day in recorded history! AND it was the first White Christmas since 1844. The city was so unprepared for the storm pretty much everything was shut down for DAYS! I cannot think of a nicer group to be stuck with!"
Here is Rob and Mels pretty new house all covered in snow.

The Cute little ones

Charlie got the funniest toy I have ever seen, it was a dinosaur robot.Let me paint a picture: It rored its head, walked, made funny sounds and could open his mouth and pick things up. After it picks something up it would clamp down on it would swing its head back and forth making a roaring sound.

So Abby got a Barbie with a Barbie car for Christmas. At some point in the day Spike(the dinosaur) walked over to the barbie car, picked barbie up by her head pulled her out of the car and roared while swinging her body around. Abby came running across the room when she saw this all go down with the saddest face, while Charlie was laughing and LOVING it! The whole thing makes me laugh so hard still when I think about it!

Of course All the Glade stockings.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was a fun event... of course! There was Good food, Good entertainment and Good company!

To be honest I don't remember much about the day b/c I was trying to crochet a headband. I litterally spent ALL day crocheting! Note I said trying to crochet, My s.i.l Heather tought us that morning... Crocheting is not my strong point.

That Sunday little baby Calli was blessed. She sure is a cutie, we will really miss seeing her and J.J.(and of course Cindy and John!) when they move.

Faux Treat!

I am typically not a yogurt person, but I really like these Whips. They just came out with the vanilla flavor and it is SO good. I eat it as a treat, even though I am a chocolate girl, seriously they are so good! I am eating one right now for dessert, I can't get enough.

On a side note: As some of you know I hate the cold and the snow, but Sophie on the other hand LOVES the snow. Today we had our first snow storm of the season and Sophie ran about 100 circle 8's in the snow... So funny. Here is the picture of the 8 she left behind in the snow.

Its kind of a Thanksgiving Miracle!?!?

I came home from work this afternoon to start cooking for tomorrow and this is what I found. This is not very conducive for productive cooking!! Our fridge broke a while ago, so we have been using the spare one in the basement (VERY annoying). I am so happy to have a fridge in the kitchen again. Although I will be happier when its not in the middle of the kitchen!! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Can you tell I am procrastinating?
Also I am so excited, my next post will be about my ottoman I made and the re-done sewing bench! I think I will be done tonight... hopefully

Refinishing project

I just finished painting this cute little table a few days ago. It used to be black, didn't really match my house, but now I love it! The next project I am attempting is to upholster an ottoman, after that I am refinishing my grandmothers sewing bench.

Before... don't mind the dust.
